Ruth is an 11-year-old girl growing up in Korah alongside her mother, Yetenesh, and her younger brother, Ermius. Their home is close to the trash dump, where daily life is unpredictable and often difficult. Recently, Yetenesh underwent surgery after experiencing severe health complications and has been in recovery for several months. She also recently lost her husband, Ruth and Ermius’ father, in a tragic car accident just a few months ago.
