Bemnet - Girls Home
Bemnet - Girls Home
Bemnet is a bright and resilient 12-year-old girl who recently joined our BeMore Girls Home. She was born to a teenage mother who gave Bemnet to her own mother in hopes of giving her daughter a better life. Bemnet spent her early childhood in the Ethiopian countryside with her grandmother, who loved her dearly but struggled to provide for their basic needs. They rarely had enough food and Bemnet was unable to attend school.
About a year ago, Bemnet’s grandmother made the difficult decision to bring her back to her mother in Addis Ababa, believing the city might offer more opportunities. Unfortunately, Bemnet faced months of hardship and abuse before being helped by a local organization that provided temporary shelter and care. She was later referred to a government-run orphanage, where she spent the next nine months before finally being welcomed into our Girls Home.
Now, with the safety and stability of the BeMore Girls Home, Bemnet is beginning to heal and dream again. She has immediately fit in with the other girls and is always first to help and play with others. With the support of a sponsor, Bemnet will have everything she needs to grow in a safe, nurturing environment. Please consider joining Bemnet on her new journey toward a bright future!
