Alem is a mother of three: Addis, Yohanes, and Eyobe who ate 13, 10, and 7 years old. doing everything she can to care for her family in the midst of overwhelming circumstances. Her youngest son, Eyobe, lives with hydrocephalus and requires constant care, including regular hospital visits and daily support at home. Because of his condition, he is unable to attend school and Alem stays home to care for him.

The family fled a conflict-affected region in northern Ethiopia and have been in Korah for the past five years, without extended family or a strong support system nearby. Alem’s husband is currently unable to find work and is under significant stress, leaving the family without a stable income. Their most urgent need right now is for diapers, which cost nearly as much as their rent each month. Sponsorship provides essential relief, helping meet immediate needs while offering a sense of support to a family navigating an incredibly heavy season.
